We are excited to be able to offer a number of reward visits on 10th July 2026 to celebrate the success of our KS4 students throughout the academic year. Following student voice, we have identified the options our students would like and the cost of the visit which includes transport and in some instances a meal. We have planned visits at different price points to support our families and offer a variety of choice, the cost of transport has impacted the price of the visits that go further afield. Options include:

  • Blackpool Pleasure Beach - £42.50

  • Cineworld  - £19.00

  • Bowling (includes an extra game and meal) - £27.00

Please be advised that we operate a first come first served system. Visits must be paid on parent pay, final payment for visits to be paid no later than 5th June 206. No payments will be accepted after this date. The visits will go live on parent pay on 13th April 2026 at 3:30pm. If we do not receive sufficient interest to run a particular visit, the visit may be withdrawn.

Following the closing date for payment you will receive a letter with the itinerary for your child/children’s selected visit. We hope to take the majority of our students on the visits and have informed students that as long as they have displayed our Alder values have good attendance and demonstrated positive behaviour this academic year, they have qualified. Qualification has been judged on a case by case basis in order to allow ‘fair and equitable’ access for these events. Students who have not qualified for the rewards visits due to behavioural issues or attendance will have received a letter informing them of the decision. Students who have been warned to improve their behaviour or attendance will have received a warning letter, they currently qualify and will continue to be monitored.

**Students not eligible have the right to appeal if there has been a situation out of their control which has resulted in them not qualifying. Students must discuss this with their Head of Year**

Students will need to bring their own packed lunch or money to buy food; unless they are attending the bowling trip as lunch is provided as part of the package. For any of our visits any child entitled to a free school meal will be given a packed lunch from school however this needs to be ordered in advance (please email schooltrips@alderchs.uk).

Students will only be allowed to attend this trip if the whole balance has been paid in advance. We recognise that for some families, finances at home may be particularly challenging. If you have any concerns about payment, please contact our finance department on finance@alderchs.uk

Students who have not qualified for the rewards visits are to attend school in full school uniform and will be in lessons. The final decision on student’s qualification remains at the discretion of the Senior Leadership Team. Students may be removed from any school trip due to poor behaviour, up to and including the day of the trip. Please note your payment will not be refunded should your child be removed from the trip by yourself or by school.
